Designed as a final for architecture school’s Design and Fabrication course, The Red Chair was both an introduction to woodworking and a first attempt at defining what a chair is. Crafted entirely through the use of laminated, bent plywood, the chair was then painted red and sealed in polyurethane. Both visually striking and ergonomic, the chair also features a healthy-sized space behind the seat for the storage of blankets, pillows, or other personal items.
